Dentures

There are two main groups of dentures: removable and fixed dentures. There are different types of fixed dentures, which can be selected by the treating doctor depending on the condition of the patient's oral cavity and teeth, tailored to each individual case.

Prosthodontics is the part of treatment that deals with partially or completely missing teeth of patients. The loss of one or more teeth has permanent consequences. The functions provided by the teeth are reduced or damaged to a greater or lesser extent. The most important is the chewing function, the disruption of which also has a significant impact on physiological functions.

As a result of tooth loss, its negative impact extends directly to the alveolus. Bone destruction and augmentation occur in the area of the lost tooth. In addition to all this, lost teeth cause additional negative reactions in the oral cavity. In addition to the deficiency, the neighboring teeth also change their position and axial position, their angle of inclination changes in the direction of the deficiency, and they can even rotate around their axis.
